Pick Glasp if you highlight sentences on the web, in PDFs, on YouTube, or in Kindle, and you want those highlights kept. Pick Yuri if you save the whole post or page from Telegram or Chrome and want an explanation, not a set of marks you made yourself.
Glasp starts from a highlight. Yuri starts from a link.

Figures are from glasp.co/pricing as reviewed on 6 October 2026. The free plan includes basic YouTube summaries, PDF upload and chat, some AI chat, and 30 minutes of audio transcription a month. Advanced YouTube summaries are listed as 3 every 7 days on the free plan, 1,000 every 30 days on Pro, and 5,000 on the higher plan. Educators and students are offered 40% off. Yuri’s prices are on the pricing section.
Different units of saving
A Glasp highlight is a sentence you chose. That is more precise than an automatic summary, and it only exists if you were there to mark it. A Yuri save is the link, plus, on Basic and Pro, whatever text or transcript was available and a plain explanation. You did not have to highlight. You also do not get your own marks.
Yuri’s free plan does not include those explanations. Glasp’s free plan does include highlighting and a small amount of AI. If “free, and I will mark up YouTube myself” is the job, Glasp is the better free tool. If “I will not sit and highlight this reel” is the job, Yuri’s paid plans match the habit and Glasp does not.
