Pick Readwise Reader if you highlight what you read and want those highlights reviewed later. Pick Yuri if you mostly save a social post or a link and want the idea searchable without a reading session.
Reader is a reading product bundled with Readwise. Yuri is a capture product for posts and links. Using both is reasonable. Replacing one with the other usually is not.

Readwise states that price on readwise.io/read. The FAQ is in the Reader docs. Students, educators, nonprofits, military, and first responders can ask hello@readwise.io about a 50% discount. Subscribers from before 18 February 2024 keep legacy pricing. Yuri’s prices are on the pricing section.
Depth versus speed
Reader assumes you will open the piece. The value is the highlight you make, and the review that brings it back. That is the right shape for essays, papers, and newsletters. It is a lot of machinery for a 20-second reel whose only lasting value is one instruction.
Yuri assumes you might never open the post again. On Basic and Pro it stores what it could read, a plain explanation, and tags, so search can stand in for the reread. Starter does not do that; it keeps 25 links a month. There is no spaced repetition and no highlight review. If that review loop is the product you want, Reader is the one that has it.
The image above is Yuri’s cat, not a screenshot of Reader. The working product is on the homepage, including the Telegram demo, and in the Chrome extension.
