Pick Recall if you want a broad knowledge base: articles, YouTube, podcasts, PDFs, and notes, with a few AI summaries even on the free plan. Pick Yuri if the habit is “I saw this post, I am sending it from Telegram or Chrome”, and you want that post explained rather than filed into a larger knowledge app.
Recall is the wider system. Yuri is the narrower door.
Comparison
| Yuri | Recall | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Social posts and links, from Telegram or Chrome | A personal knowledge base across articles, video, podcasts, and notes |
| Capture | Forward in Telegram, or the Chrome extension | Browser extensions, mobile apps, and imports |
| Sources | Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, web pages | Articles, YouTube, podcasts, PDFs, and your own notes |
| Organisation | Automatic tags and a category on Basic and Pro | Automatic organisation of what you add |
| AI | Paid plans explain a save. Pro can answer questions about the library. Starter has no AI | Free plan includes 10 AI summaries a month. Paid plans add more, under a fair-use cap |
| Search | Basic and Pro | Across the knowledge base |
| Privacy and platform | Only the links you send or save. Not other Telegram chats, contacts, or attachments | Your Recall account. They say excessive use can be paused |
| Price | Starter €0 (25 links/month). Basic €4,99/month or €49,99/year. Pro €12,99/month or €129,99/year | Free is $0. Plus is billed yearly; this review does not quote a Plus price because the page did not expose one. Max is $38 a month billed yearly |
Checked against recall.it/pricing on 6 October 2026. Free includes unlimited read-later for articles, YouTube, podcasts, and PDFs, unlimited notes, 10 AI summaries a month, and API and MCP access. Plus and Max describe “unlimited” as fair use. Max adds model choice, bulk AI, and 1:1 onboarding. Extensions cover Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, plus iOS and Android. There is a 30-day refund, and a 20% student discount via support@recall.it. Yuri’s prices are on the pricing section.
Chat is not the same feature
Both can answer from your own saves, with different gates. Recall’s free plan already spends 10 summaries a month, and the paid plans go further until fair use. Yuri does not summarise on Starter. Ask Yuri is only on Pro, and it is questions about items already in the library, not a general chatbot and not a connection you plug into other AI tools. Yuri does not offer MCP.
Recall’s free read-later pile is larger than Yuri’s Starter shelf of 25 links a month. Yuri’s paid shelves are 400 links on Basic and 1,200 on Pro. Those are published limits, not a promise of unlimited saves.

Choose Yuri if
- Telegram is where links already arrive.
- You want social posts unpacked, and you do not need podcasts, PDFs, and a knowledge-base API.
- You would rather a smaller free plan than a wide free plan with a summary cap you have to track.
Choose Recall if
- You are building a knowledge base from articles, video, and podcasts, not only social posts.
- You want summaries on a free plan, and you are fine with fair-use limits on the paid ones.
- You want more than Chrome: Firefox, Edge, Safari, and the mobile apps.
